Q: How does the process start?
A: After receiving a referral from your healthcare provider, Atlantic Prosthetic Services will begin by reviewing your medical history and any notes from your physician. We will also have a direct conversation with you to discuss the process, your specific needs, and how a custom prosthetic, orthotic, or compression garment can best fit your lifestyle. Once we complete the assessments, our team will start planning and fabricating the device that is most suitable for you.
Q: What happens after my device is fabricated?
A: We will arrange a time for you to come back to our office for an initial trial and fitting of your device. In most cases, your new prosthesis can be ready the same day. Occasionally, we may need to make modifications to ensure comfort and proper alignment. If that’s necessary, our team will handle the adjustments in-house, and your device will be ready within a few days.
Q: What insurance do you accept?
